Another comprehensive project on lovely Lake Buel, Nature Works installed a 5600 sq. ft. Chestnut Brown Victorian permeable paver driveway, patio with bluetooth fire pit, walkway to lakeside dock, planting beds, trees, shrubs, and perennials. Permeable pavers were required at this location per the Conservation Commision to avoid water run-off. Native species were widely integrated in this traditional planting scheme. Our permeable stone work was almost entirely edged and softened with species meant to be lower maintenance and more resilient than the traditional driveway and foundation planting. Water savvy sedums and deep rooted meadow species grow around the edges of the driveway and paths – softening the hard edges with overflowing beds. While ferns and blooming understory plants surround carefully placed boulders and fade into the native woodland.
